This Saturday, Pittsfield Brew Works is putting on an event that no beer enthusiast should miss – Berktoberfest.
The $15 ticket will get you a souvenir cup and 5 taster tokens. For those under 21, it’s $5 to get in.
Don’t worry if the forecasted rain decides to crash the party; the food and most importantly the beer will be safe under tents. And make sure you’re smart and get a designated driver.

Dancing in the Streets
Dance enthusiasts may want to head to “Dancing in the Streets, ” this month’s 3rd Thursday in downtown Pittsfield on September 18th from 5 to 8 p.m. Palace Park will have dance performances – ballet, percussive, tap, step, and undoubtedly everyone’s favorite – clogging.
There will also be hot air balloon rides at the Commons. Unfortunately, I’ve watched one too many of those world’s most dangerous videos, and all I can picture is a flaming ball of doom. But you guys feel free to have fun.
A complete list of events can be found at http://www.pittsfield.com/Detail.asp?sid=331
The city of Pittsfield’s announcements always sound like there’s a lot of fun happening in downtown Pittsfield with shops staying open late, outdoor dining, etc and I wonder if younger people have a good time. Let me know what you think about 3rd Thursdays.
Welcome

It’s time the younger generation of Berkshire County get to live it up. Need something to do this weekend, other than another “family-friendly event?” Leaf peeping just not doing it for you? Then, you’ve come to the right blog.I have made it my mission to find all forms of entertainment going on locally – live music, theater, concerts, food, shopping, nightlife, and beyond - so you never have to say, “There’s nothing to do in (insert your town).”I will focus mainly on the Northern Berkshire area but will also cover outside the region on special occasion and depending on what readers want.
This blog will relay information about upcoming events, review those events, along with new music/movies/games, and comment on important issues – like where to find the best beer in town.
Want to recommend an interesting event? Got a suggestion for a topic? Or just feel like venting about life in the Berkshires? Leave a comment and I will get back to you.
